About me

My design journey started in publishing, where I designed, art directed and illustrated book covers. I currently work at a series B live virtual photography start-up called soona. I design as well as guide processes through multiple departments and channels. This experience has enabled me to be nimble, self-starting, and collaborative; as well as empowering me with technical web and software knowledge.

I enrolled in DesignLab's UX/UI program in May of 2020, out of a desire to expand my design skills, and to learn more about an interest of mine: humans! My first major in college was psychology, and I have always been drawn to the human side of design. A social justice advocate, I am particularly drawn to designs that are accessible and inclusive.

Fun Fact

My hobby of photography and blogging led me to having a weekly street style column in local newspapers and weeklies, where I photographed and interviewed fashionable locals. I was commissioned for street style work by NYLON and Essence magazines, interviewed by Glamour.com, and even appeared in Marie Claire magazine. All of this taught me beyond the art and fashion—to interview, observe, empathize, and connect with complete strangers.
